Michael White from Halifax, NS suggested that this could be a valuable asset to help find lost or stolen beagles. If you've lost one or found one, you could send me the info on the hound, especially the tattoo number, where it was lost (or found) and a photo if you have one. I'll post it at no charge on this page and hopefully one of the many beaglers and hunters who visit this site will recognize it. A further suggestion is that everyone could take photos of each dog in their kennel for identification purposes. It could come in handy. It would be very simple with the new digital cameras (or have a friend do it).
On July 6, 2006 Elliot, a small male beagle, dissapeared from his home in Witless Bay, Newfoundland. He has simply vanished, I have searched high and low but there is no sign of him anywhere, he has been gone 11 days now, so I am very concerned he has been stolen. Elliot is a very small unneutered male beagle, almost two years old. When last seen he was wearing a red collar, unfortunatley he is not tatooed or does not have tags. He is a skittish little dog and may be difficult to get close to. A reward is offered for his return. Please see attached picture.
